Tonight was the school art show. Lydia and Seth both won ribbons which will advance them to the upcoming county art show. Seth liked his art that didn't win more than he liked his that did win. His favorite was the one he's holding in the bottom picture beside Morgan. He wanted us to have a picture of it also.

Edited to add: Lydia also won a ribbon at the county art show.

Following in his Dad's Footsteps

I was cleaning this week, and Seth wanted to help clean the carpet. He's decided he wants to be a professional carpet cleaner some day like his dad used to be. He finds his dad's current job very boring. Steve keeps a bowl of candy in his office for visitors. Seth says his dad just sits in an office and eats candy all day :-)

The Tooth Fairy is Coming ....

Poor Seth... He fell face-first onto our patio table last night. He had stitches in the ER on his face where his teeth went through. I pulled one tooth and the dentist removed two more this morning. He's really swollen right now. HOWEVER, he is VERY excited. All he is really thinking about is that he lost his first, second, and third teeth in the same day. He's expecting a good tooth fairy payout. Furthermore, it seems like stitches and lost teeth are pretty common with kindergarten boys. He's excited to go back to school to show off his injuries :-)

Popcorn and Change of Voice

It's time for a change of person on the blog. When I (Jenny) started it five years ago, I intended for Steve and I to both post on it. I wrote everything in third person so either of us could post and it would make sense. However, in five years, I think the only post Steve has done was after the birth of one of the kids. Therefore, I am going to refer to myself as "I" going forward. Only a teacher would be annoyed by this, but it has been bugging me for a while :-) Steve surprised me last night with a popcorn machine for our basement. I've been looking at them for a while. I'm looking forward to lots of movie nights at home!
