No-Bake Cookie Recipe From Seth's Preschool

Every time Seth goes to preschool, his teacher asks him at the end of class what his favorite thing was that day. She then draws a picture for him to take home of his favorite thing. (It usually involves snack, the playground, or a puzzle.) Today the kids made cookies, and she drew a picture of them on the recipe. You can click the picture and print.

Sunday Night Football

Seth stays up later than his sisters at night. Big sister doesn't take a nap anymore and needs sleep to get up early for school, and little sister is still a baby. However, Seth takes an afternoon nap and is still going for quite a while after his sisters go to bed. He loves to do things like play Candyland, Legos, or sports for his alone time with Mom or Dad. Tonight he and Dad watched football in the basement and played a little ball themselves.

Day at the Columbus Zoo

We spent today at the Columbus Zoo. Morgan loved brushing the animals' hair.
Seth thought it was great feeding the birds.
Check out Seth on the trainride. We're not too sure what he was doing.
Morgan LOVES playgrounds. Luckily there was a play area at the zoo. She's so proud of being able to slide alone.
She also enjoyed the fish.
All the kids enjoyed the Carousel.

Dad was with us, but he was the photographer today.

All About Preschool

Mom got to go to preschool and learn all about it today. Once a month parents join the kids for the day. The first thing Seth does when he gets to school is write his name on the attendance sheet. He takes this job very seriously.
The kids then do large motor activities. They walk on a balance beam, jump on trampolines, spin on sit-and-spins, balance balls, make shoots from boards, and draw on dry erase boards. It was exhausing just to watch :-)
The kids then make and eat their snack. They have small pitchers so they can pour their own drinks, serving spoons and bowls to serve their own food, and use their best manners. They then do center activities where they choose to play puzzles, blocks, light brights, games, kitchen, sorting games, drawing, etc. Finally, they have circle time where they sing songs, hear stories, and do learning activities. They normally also play on the school playground but didn't do it today with parents. Each child has a job for the day such as weather checker person, line leader, clean up bellringer, etc. Seth was the line leader today.

Zoo Day

Mom, Seth, and Morgan went to the zoo yesterday. Here are Seth and cousin Joseph climbing on the pretend animals. They seemed to prefer them over the real ones.

Is it possible to take a picture of three babies with not one looking. Mom deserves a photography award for this shot. Morgan, little cousin Issaac, and friend Chloe are checking out the polar bears.
Great-aunt Donna watches the polar bears with the boys.

My New Baby Doll

Mom bought me a new baby doll today as a gift... ok, bribe... to keep me quiet while she bought groceries for the week at Wal-Mart. It made me so happy and quiet I may start getting new dolls every week :-) I love my new doll.

Lydia's Room

We finished painting Lydia's room this weekend. Other than hanging a couple pictures, her room is complete.

Pudding is Good!

Watching Extreme Makeover Home Edition in Toledo

Lydia enjoys watching Extreme Makeover Home Edition. They were building a house in Toledo this week, and Dad took her to see it Friday night.

Labor Day Weekend Campout

We stayed in a cabin at East Harbor State Park again this year for Labor Day Weekend. Uncle Bryan, Sasha, Grandma, and Grandpa visited with us. It was a lot of fun.
