Best Friends

When Nana came to visit after Sydney was born, she took the kids to Wal-Mart and got them each something. Lydia chose a pink and black Hannah Montana outfit. Her best friend then got the same outfit the next week. There is nothing more fun when you are in second grade than dressing like your best friend.

Reading to Sydney

Seth loves to keep Sydney entertained.

Potty Training is Overrated

We're back at potty training again. If you remember, Morgan was doing well with it in the spring. However, she took the summer off. She's doing well with it again, but it has made life difficult. As you can see below, Morgan's fall clothes don't fit well anymore. Without a diaper, her pants are drooping all the time. Furthermore, with her and Seth both using the bathroom and having absolutely no ability to predict in advance when they need to go, we are living in the bathrooms. Last night we went to story time at the library. Morgan went before we left home. Morgan went when we got 8 miles down the road at the library. We started listening to the story, and we had to leave within 10 minutes because Seth had to go. We returned to the story, and Morgan had to go when story time was over 20 minutes later. It continued when we returned home.

Lydia was supposed to play dolls with a friend this afternoon, but it didn't work out. Morgan got lucky and Lydia decided to play dolls with her instead which she enjoyed. They dressed the doll in lots of different outfits. They wanted a picture together. Seth had to join in the fun.

It's cold outside....

Although I may be dressed more for a January blizzard than for late September!

I turned a month old today....

I did some deep thinking...
I was a little frightened by the photo shoot with my siblings...

I dozed in Dad's arms...

I helped Mom grade papers...It was a good day...

6:30 AM on Saturday Morning

Sydney is up, fed, changed, and swinging away her morning. She isn't the only one awake around our house. Seth is already up and finished with breakfast. Mom could sleep through Seth being awake on a Saturday morning, but she's up as well with Sydney.

Mom Didn't Think It Could Happen To Her

Mom hears a lot of people say that they have tons of pictures of their oldest child, but not many of younger siblings. Until a couple of weeks ago, she couldn't relate. It would be difficult to find a week in Seth's or Morgan's life where Mom and Dad couldn't find pictures. However, the last three weeks since Sidney was born have been very busy, and Mom and Dad have slacked on the picture taking. Of course, they have pictures, but not as many as the first weeks of the other kids' lives. The camera is now sitting out ready to capture more of the moments from today forward. Here are a few shots from this afternoon:

Trying For a Birth Announcement Shot

Mom and Dad decided yesterday that it was time to do Sydney's birth announcement. A photo session with a two week-old can be a challenge!
