House Update

They have poured the basement and put up the basement walls. The house is supposed to be complete by June 27. We can't wait to move in!

Given the choice...

of playing on the old section of the playground built next to the power grid back in the good ol' days when people didn't care about things like brain injuries or broken bones and built slides 16 feet straight up with no sides and designed barrels for uncoordinated small children to run on...

or playing on the section of the playground recently built to prevent all possible injury and provide learning cubes to increase a child's intelligence...
a 2 year-old-boy will choose the old section EVERY SINGLE TIME. Seth will never get near the new part.

The Pen

I took this picture of Seth and Morgan happily playing in the playpen. We bought it when Lydia started crawling, and it's been great for containing kids in the put-everything-in-the-mouth stage. Seth likes to join Morgan when she's in the playpen.

However, after I took the first picture, I went to take a shower. I came back and found this... the end of our peace of mind when we put Morgan in the playpen.

Check Out the New Haircut

Lydia has always loved her long hair, but she decided this week she wanted a change. She wanted shoulder-length hair. She went this morning for the big haircut. She's really happy with it.

The Destroyer

Morgan has entered the destructive baby phase... She loves to empty bookshelves, drawers, cabinets, and anything else she can get into. We need to improve our baby-proofing..

Otter Creek Park in Kentucky

We spent the weekend visiting Nana, Uncle Michael, and Dessa at a cabin at Otter Creek Park in Kentucky. It was a fun visit.

Patton Museum near Fort Knox Kentucky

We spent the weekend near Fort Knox Kentucky. We briefly went through the Patton museum which displayed lots of tanks. The kids (and grown-ups) enjoyed checking out the tanks.
