Pressuring Mom and Dad into Potty Training

I (Morgan) decided a few weeks ago that I am going to use the potty. You'd think my parents would be thrilled. However, Mom and Dad have had very low expectations for me in the potty department... They assume that since big sister and big brother weren't exactly potty training standouts that I'll be much older also before I lose the diapers. However, I've been pressuring them througout the process. Seth was afraid I'd drown :-) when I starting climbing on the big potty so Dad pulled out the little potty for me. After seeing me pull off my diapers time after time to go, Mom bought me pullups. I saw Dora underwear at the store tonight and convinced Mom and Dad to get them for me. They are tired of seeing me try to wear big brother's underwear. I am costing them a lot less than my siblings with the potty training process. I've heard rumor that Mom and Dad have bought a bike, stickers, toy cars, etc. as bribes in the past. I am happy to get a couple M&M's.

I use the potty about 2-5 times a day. I still have a ways to go, but it's going well so far.

Lydia's Theatrical Debut

Lydia attends a school that has prek-12th grade. We live next door to the high school music teacher, and she asked Lydia this week if she'd like to be a little fairy in the HIGH SCHOOL play Cinderella. A couple of Lydia's best friends will also be fairies and mice in the play. Lydia could not be more excited. The music teacher pulled her out of class yesterday to try on fairy dresses. Nothing could be more fun when you're seven. This is her waiting by the door for her friend's mom to take her to her first play practice today. New Playset

The kids were excited today to get their new playset. Seth spent hours watching the man build it. They played on it all evening.

The Making of a Chef

Doesn't every great chef begin with mac-n-cheese? Seth has decided he is going to be a chef when he grows up. He loves to cook. He plans to open a restaurant called Dinosaur Rock. Make your reservations now....

A Visit with Grandpa and Great Uncle Samuel

We enjoyed spending Saturday visiting. We went to the Newport Aquarium near Cincinnati, and the kids even got to pet the sharks.

Gymnastics

Lydia started taking gymnastics classes a few weeks ago. She loves to teach Seth her new skills.
