Day on Kelley's Island

We spent Sunday on Kelley's Island. It was beautiful. We ate at a restaurant on the lake, enjoyed the beach again, and checked out the local playground.

Ferry Ride to Kelley's Island

We took a Ferry to Kelley's Island on Sunday. The kids thought it was so exciting to ride the boat and have the car go along as well!

Memorial Day Weekend at East Harbor State Park

We stayed in camper cabins at East Harbor State Park by Lake Erie for Memorial Day Weekend. It was an unusually warm weekend in Ohio for this early in the summer. We had a great time. We spent time at the beach; Lydia and Seth did the big waterslide; We rode bikes; We enjoyed a campfire; We visited with Grandma and Grandpa; and we took a daytrip to Kelley's Island.

Asleep in the Midst of Her Cookbooks

Summer break from school is here. Lydia enjoys cooking and asked Mom this morning if she could cook tonight. Mom said she could do most of it. Lydia pulled out her cookbooks and read through pages and pages of recipes. She then started bugging Mom at 2:45 about when she could start cooking. Mom told her she had to wait until 5:00. She came out about every ten minutes for the first hour wanting to start cooking early, but she then disappeared for a while. Mom found her asleep in a pile of cookbooks (look behind her head :-) )

First Day in the Water

It's official...

Seth finished preschool this morning. He picked up his certificate from his teacher this morning at the preschool family picnic at the park. He had fun playing with his friends.

Seth Just Misses a Hole In One

Seth just missed a hole-in-one today. He and Dad went golfing after his preschool picnic. He hit from the junior tee about 60 yards out and hit the cup. If you look closely in this picture you can see the red flag in the background where he hit the ball to.

Remember a couple weeks ago...

when we said that you know potty training is going really badly when your kid sneaks and changes into a diaper. We'll, things have gotten worse. You know potty training is going horribly when your kid hides (possibly throws away) all of her underwear.

Morgan was doing really well with her potty training. She must have decided yesterday evening that she needed a break. Mom has a shelf in Morgan's closet where she kept her underwear so Morgan could reach them herself. She had about 12-14 pairs when she went to bed. This morning they were ALL gone. We can't find them anywhere. Morgan claims someone took them. We're hoping they appear soon.

The Preschool Graduate/ Excited about Dragons

Today was Seth's last day going to preschool. He has a picnic at the park Monday with his preschool friends, but other than that he's finished. Lydia made him a cake to celebrate, and he had a couple friends over this afternoon. Grandma and Grandpa came to visit and went out to eat with him this evening.

Mom and Dad had planned to redecorate his room for a while. He's had Thomas the Train since he outgrew his crib, and he decided a few months ago he's way too big for that. Mom and Dad surprised him today with How to Train your Dragon bedding. He is VERY excited. His room is also going to be painted to match.

Lydia's Awards Night

Tonight was Lydia's school awards night. She earned a trophy for all A's all year, presidential fitness award, county art show award, and second grade reading award.

Enjoying the Spring Weather

The kids had fun playing in the backyard today. We hung Sydney's baby swing for the first time today which she enjoyed.

Yes, his glove is on the wrong hand... (AKA The Beginning of a T-ball Career)

Seth had his first ever ball practice today. He's excited to be playing ball, have some friends on the team, and have his dad be the assistant coach. Mom just noticed as she looked at the pictures that Seth was playing the field with his glove on the wrong hand :-)

Picture With The Tree

Morgan loves the tree we bought a few weeks ago when we were decorating our kitchen. We've had a lot of discussions over the leaves that mysteriously appear all over the floor. She told Mom this morning that she would really like a picture with the tree. So, here it is, a picture with the tree...

Mother's Day 2010 Car Trip

Click link below to see video of Mom's Sunday evening car ride :-) Morgan chose Mother's Day to have the biggest tantrum of her life... She didn't take a nap today, and she didn't want to leave Grandma and Grandpa's house. She started her tantrum when we left their house. She then fell asleep. She woke up about thirty minutes later and continued her tantrum where she left off. Her screaming woke up Sydney and got her crying and screaming as well. They were both inconsolable for a long time. The best part of the video is Lydia and Seth playing their DS's completely oblivious to their screaming sisters.
