Dad's Approach to Lazy Fatherhood :-)
Sydney loves her watching the sound and lights on her toy. However, it will only run for a couple minutes before turning off. An older baby is able to kick the yellow part and restart it. However, Sydney hasn't figured that out yet. That leaves Dad with two choices. He can get off the chair and restart Sydney's toy every two minutes.......
or he can sit in his recliner and throw whatever soft objects he can find toward the toy to keep it playing and Sydney happy...

No Training Wheels!!!
We were outside this evening, and Dad and Lydia decided to convince Seth to try riding his bike without training wheels. Seth has been afraid to try in the past. Dad didn't have much luck, but Lydia was able to convince him by offering to play monster with him and the neighbor, let him be the teacher the next time they play school, and give him five skittles. He was sold. Dad took off the training wheels, and he took off on the first try. He didn't have any problem riding. We think it's because he spends so much time on his scooter.

2 Months Old Today
I'm two months old today! I'm spending my day hanging out at home with the family. I hear that I'm going to storytime this evening. I have slept through all the other ones so far. I may stay awake tonight. Mom and Dad will post how big I am after I go to the doctor tomorrow for my checkup.
Edited to add.. I went to the doctor and weigh 11 pounds 4 ounces. I'm healthy and doing well.

Mom's New Trick for Getting Crying Baby to Sleep
Sydney has entered a crying phase recently, and Mom recently figured out a trick for getting her to sleep. Mom feeds and changes her, and then she wraps her in a blanket and puts a pacifier in her mouth. She then puts the carseat across the recliner that rocks. She rocks the recliner back and forth, and Sydney falls asleep every time no matter how fussy she's been.

Ready to Watch Some Football....Unless Something Better Comes Up
Lydia had a couple friends come home after school today to spend the night. Tonight was the high school homecoming football game. Since the school is prek-12 grade, the younger children also get excited about the high school events. We knew it would be a cold evening, but it wasn't supposed to rain. We got all six kids in coats, hats, gloves, etc. We drove to the game, and rain started pouring when we got out of cars. We decided that taking a baby, toddler, preschooler, and three second-graders to sit in the bleachers in the cold rain was out of the question. We told the girls that one of use would take them to the game, or we would go let them pick out a movie to rent. They all screamed movie, and we all enjoyed the evening in the warm, dry house :-)
